Certified Certificate of Authenticity

In order to create the LSPS’s sharp relief and a mirror-like background, the specialized “proof” minting process requires manually feeding burnished bar blanks into presses where each LSPS is struck multiple times so the softly frosted and highly detailed images seem to float above the field. The LSPS is then packaged in a sleeve and a protective capsule to showcase and maintain its exceptional finish a treasured cornerstone for any COGIC and numismatic collection, with the unique design accompanied by Certified Certificates of Authenticity, it creates beautiful all occasion gifts and wonderful keepsakes to pass down to future generations.

Silver Set Specification and Value

The 5 Troy oz ingot custom minted in .999 fine silver at the SilverTowne Mint.

The Silver ingot/bars are popular with collectors and investors for their silver content, portability and ease of storage.

Reduce Tarnishing – Handling

If tarnishing is a big worry to you, use clean white cotton gloves when you handle pure silver ingots / bars to reduce or prevent the oils on your fingers from staining the ingot. This is how professional jewelers handle the diamond and gold jeweler. Tweezers with plastic tips are also good tools to pick up the ingots with.
When examining your ingots, lay them on a clean surface or on a piece of clean lint or velvet cloth to prevent the coins from picking up contaminants.

Reduce Tarnishing – Storing Silver

Place the ingot or store in individual capsules and place them in a container with the carbon or “charcoal” that you can buy from the pet shops for fish tanks. This should help prevent tarnish as the carbon traps some of the hydrogen sulfide that causes tarnish.
Use silica gel along with the charcoal to prevent condensation and help can stop rust, mildew, corrosion and spoilage. Dehumidifiers are recommended for large storage of silver ingots/bars.

The Presidium of the Church Of God In Christ 2016 – 2019

Welcome from the General Board

“So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.” Matthew 20:16

Welcome to the home page of the General Board of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. The men selected to lead the Church were chosen by God and the membership of the Church Of God In Christ. We hope you enjoy learning more about the Church leadership and the important role they have in leading God’s people.

The Role of the General Board

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.” (Psalms 33:12) KJV
The General Board of the Church of God in Christ, Inc (COGIC) is responsible for establishing and executing policies for the membership, as well as sustaining and perpetuating spiritual order within the Church. These twelve bishops, chosen from the Board of Bishops, are voted into office by the General Assembly for a term of four years. Executive decisions made by the General Board are final unless revoked or modified by the General Assembly.  The General Board convenes three times a year for official meetings in the months of April, November and at the time the presiding bishop deems necessary.
The Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ is Bishop Charles E. Blake, pastor of West Angeles Church Of God In Christ in Los Angeles, CA.  Through his leadership the board has continued its vision which is based on Titus 1:5, in which the Apostle Paul appointed Titus to lead the people of Crete as an elder. Bishop P.A. Brooks, 1st Assistant Presiding Bishop and Bishop Jerry W. Macklin, 2nd Assistant Presiding Bishop serve as Presiding Bishop Blake’s special aides on the General Board.
As the spiritual leadership of 6.5 million members worldwide, the Church Of God In Christ General Board has a Pentecostal vision to carry out a message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Official Seal of the Church

The SYMBOL of the Church Of God In Christ is an outgrowth of the Presiding Bishop’s Coat of Arms which has become quite familiar to the Church. The design of the Official Seal of the Church was created in 1973 and adopted in the General Assembly in 1981 (April Session).
The DATE in the seal has a two-fold purpose; firstly, to tell us that Bishop Mason received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in March 1907; and, secondly, to tell us that it was because of this outpouring that Bishop Mason was compelled to call us together in November of 1907, to organize the Church Of God In Christ.
The GARNERED WHEAT in the center of the seal represents all of the people of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc.

The ROPE of wheat which holds the shaft together represents the Founding Father of the Church, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, who, at the call of the Lord, banded us together as a Brotherhood of Churches in the First Pentecostal General Assembly of the Church, in 1907.
The RAIN in the background represents the Latter Rain or the End-time Revivals which brought about the emergence of our Church along with other Pentecostal Holiness Bodies in the same era. The rain also serves as a challenge to the Church to keep Christ in the center of our worship and service, so that He may continue to use the Church Of God In Christ as one of the vehicles of Pentecostal Revival before the return of the Lord.
